Teachers’ Day 2026 at ITHS: A Celebration Planned by Students

ITHS faculty and students at the Teachers' Day 2026 celebration, Rayat Bahra University

The Institute of Translational Health Science (ITHS) celebrated Teachers’ Day 2026 on 3rd September 2026 with great enthusiasm and reverence, recognising the dedication, mentorship, and invaluable contributions of its faculty members and Heads of Departments.

The Students Took Charge

The celebration was organised entirely by the students of ITHS. They planned the programme, arranged the activities, and kept the preparations a surprise for their teachers until the day itself. That students put so much thought and effort into an afternoon meant for someone else was, in itself, the warmest tribute of the day.

An Afternoon of Performances, Quizzes, and Games

The programme brought faculty and students together for an engaging afternoon filled with cultural performances, interactive activities, games, and memorable moments.

Students opened with performances that drew warm applause from the faculty. A KBC-inspired quiz followed, putting teachers and students in the hot seat together and turning the usual classroom dynamic upside down for an hour. Faculty-student activities and a lively Musical Chairs session had everyone on their feet, with the teachers joining in as enthusiastically as their students and creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration.

Cake, Tokens of Appreciation, and a Faculty Lunch

The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and the presentation of tokens of appreciation to the teachers, followed by a special faculty lunch. The thoughtful efforts of the students and the enthusiastic participation of the faculty made the celebration a memorable occasion for everyone present.

A Bond That Goes Beyond the Classroom

The celebration reflected the strong teacher-student bond at ITHS and reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to fostering a culture of respect, gratitude, and collaborative learning.

Days like this one matter because they change the register of the relationship for a few hours. Students see their teachers laugh, compete, and lose gracefully at Musical Chairs. Teachers see the care and organisation their students are capable of when nobody has assigned it to them. Everyone returns to class a little more at ease with one another, and that ease is what makes students comfortable enough to ask questions.

Thank You to Our Teachers

Teachers’ Day served as a meaningful reminder of the vital role educators play in inspiring students, nurturing their potential, and shaping the professionals and leaders of tomorrow. ITHS extends its heartfelt gratitude to every faculty member and Head of Department for their guidance, patience, and commitment, and to the students whose efforts made the day so memorable.
